Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries
Background:
· Text on finance sources was reportedly agreed upon late last night.
Today’s Developments:
· REDD text in main LCA document (L.4), pages 13-14, contains no information on finance sources
· There are 7 options for REDD finance sources in LCA document CRP.39, pages 14-16, apparently in conflict with last night’s reported agreement
Outlook:
· Stand by for clarification.
